The prospect of a Grand Prix in the city of London seems one step closer to happening as the Government has given more powers to the local authorities. What this means, is that Town Halls can now sign off motor races in public roads, instead of getting approval by Parliament.
Prime Minister David Cameron said;
“We’re going to change the rules so that local councils are able to make the decision so you don’t have to have a private member’s Bill through Parliament, which we think will be great news for British motor sport. More races, more events, more money coming into our country and more success for this extraordinary industry.”
Hopefully this Monaco style Grand Prix happens soon, seems like it’ll be a lot of fun.
