What Could Be Wrong with your Car?

Cars are intricate things and there is a lot that could potentially go wrong with them. However, there is also a lot you can learn about how cars work and what might be wrong with them. Here is a guide to identifying some of the most common problems you could experience with your vehicle:

  • A flat battery. If you cannot start your car, a flat battery is the most likely cause of this. Find someone with jump leads or call your breakdown recovery provider.
  • Cylinder failure. You may notice your car backfiring, coolant leaks and an overly smoky exhaust if you are having cylinder trouble. Get your car into a mechanic before it gets worse.
  • Worn brake pads. Listen out for crunching or grinding sounds when you brake and check whether your car is pulling slightly when you apply the brakes.
  • Air conditioning faults. If your air conditioning becomes warmer, get it recharged.
