Engine Problems – the Best Approach to Take

Engine problems are often serious and could even spell the end of your car. If you are experiencing engine issues, the best thing to do is to go to a garage immediately to make sure you are not going to make the problem any worse by driving the vehicle further. Here are some of the most common problems you might be experiencing:

  • The engine won’t start. Have you got a battery that has been run down? This could happen if you have left the lights on or haven’t driven the car in a while. See if you can jump start it and if not, call a breakdown service provider.
  • Smoke coming from the engine. This could mean many things but one of the most common is a low coolant level. Make sure there isn’t a leak.
  • An engine fault message displayed on your dashboard. Some of the most common reasons for this message popping up include a missing fuel cap, worn spark plugs or fuel issues.
